King Salman Park Intelligent Greenhouse Over Two Years of Stable Operation Ensured by CGA
In Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where the annual average rainfall is less than 100 millimeters, the scarcity of water resources once made large-scale greening an “impossible mission.” However, the intelligent greenhouse and seedling nursery in King Salman Park are breaking through this challenge with advanced technology.

This “green lung of the desert city” created by China Green Agriculture (CGA)—including intelligent greenhouses, seedling nurseries, and sunshade structures—has been operating stably for nearly 800 days and nights, delivering a perfect performance.
Smart Water Saving: Creating Green Hope in an Arid Land
In Riyadh, a desert city where water resources are extremely precious, water-saving capability is a key indicator of project success. CGA’s intelligent greenhouse, through intelligent cooling control, precise irrigation systems, and mist spraying technology, has achieved 32% water savings compared with traditional irrigation, saving about 9,000 tons of fresh water annually for King Salman Park.

Moreover, modern fertigation technology further controls nutrient solution ratios precisely, shortening the growth cycle of seedlings and flowers by 15%, rewriting the agricultural logic of “arid = low yield.”
Dual Authority: Recognition from the Royal Commission and WSP
WSP (Williams Sale Partnership Global Inc), the supervision body of King Salman Park, was established in 1969 and is a globally renowned design, engineering consulting, and supervision company. It carried out comprehensive inspections of the structural safety, system reliability, and operational efficiency of CGA’s greenhouse, which passed at once and received high evaluation.

In addition to inspecting greenhouse construction results, WSP members also went to China specifically to conduct in-depth factory acceptance of the core equipment of the intelligent greenhouse—the automated seedbed logistics system. They carried out strict tests on high-temperature resistance, material quality, load impact, and other indicators, and the project successfully passed acceptance.

In addition, the intelligent greenhouse built by CGA gained high recognition and praise from members of the Royal Commission for its stable operating system and intelligent climate control system.

Technical Guarantee: Advanced and Stable Control System Achieving Zero-Fault Operation
The ability to win praise from both sides could not be separated from strong technical strength. CGA’s intelligent control system is another core guarantee for “zero-fault” operation.
CGA’s control system uses Siemens’ latest generation S7-1500 controller, combined with S7-1200 as the secondary controller. The two communicate through a fast and stable “fiber-optic communication network,” achieving high coordination like a brain and cerebellum. Together with CGA’s self-designed software, the whole intelligent control system is like assigning a smart and reliable “general manager” to the greenhouse.

No matter how complex the external environment, it can act like an experienced farmer, adjusting humidity and temperature in time through three modules: irrigation, shading, and seedbeds, keeping crops always in a suitable environment. When plant growth reaches a certain stage, staff only need to press a button on the screen, and the automated seedbed system can easily transport the crops to the designated location. Even if staff are not on site, this smart “manager” can report the situation remotely and help adjust equipment in real time.

In terms of safety, the system integrates multiple safety protections that exceed international safety standards. Combined with emergency stop, safety doors, proximity switches, and travel switches, it can effectively ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. If the system detects any abnormality, it immediately issues an “alarm reminder,” avoiding production delays due to small faults and reducing loss caused by failures. It also supports remote monitoring and maintenance, making maintenance unrestricted by location.
The entire intelligent control system not only ensures a stable environment for crop growth, but also saves labor, reduces risks, and makes modern agricultural production more efficient and reliable.

Nearly 800 days of perfect performance fully verify the reliability and durability of CGA’s technology and products. What we delivered is not only a project, but also a reliable solution that can withstand the test of time and continuously create value.
